Katie's Brain

Ok so I really hate it when people ask me what I am thinking. Because most of the time, I really don't even know myself.
My brain works in mysterious ways, even to me.
Some times I think on topic and sometimes I am sitting in Enlgish class
thinking about elephants. It all just depends really.
So basically don't ask me what I'm thinking. If I want you to know, then I will most likely blurt it out. Which I do often. I am pretty open with my opinions when I
understand them myself.
"Don't ask me what I'm thinking. I don't think in English. I don't think in words. I think in thoughts and it takes too long to translate."

Some of my favorite words....

Words....words are amazing. They are what deffine us. The things we say give first impressions, they can hurt, heal, love. They can show what we are feeling inside. Words are how we express ourselves. Our words are us and we are our words.

  • Epiphany: a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.
  • Inspirational: imparting a divine influence on the mind and soul
  • Divine: Having the nature of or being a deity.
Being in the service or worship of a deity; sacred.
Supremely good or beautiful; magnificent: a divine performance of the concerto.
Extremely pleasant; delightful: had a divine time at the ball.

These are only three words, but there are sooo many more out there. I don't extend my vocabulary as much as I should, and I don't know why? When there are so many words out there to chose from, why do I chose the same old ones like, stupid, cool, awesome?

Inspirational

I wish that some day I could write something that everyone would recognize, and everyone would admire. I wish I could say something so bold and and true and amazing as what Marianne Williamson once wrote but said in a speech by Nelson Mandela,

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

So bored....

Ok so one of my all time favorite things are quotes and or sayings. I love them all, whether they are funny, stupid or serious. so here are some that i found that I enjoyed.
  • If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
  • Everyone has a photographic memory. Some people just don't have film.
  • Death is hereditary.
  • Whe you're right, no one remembers. When you're wrong, no one forgets.
  • Cheer up, the worst is yet to come.
  • Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.
  • They say hard work never hurts anybody, but why take the chance?
  • If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side.
  • Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.
  • I either get what I want or I change my mind.--Dreams for an insomniac
  • I have lots of ideas. trouble is, most of the suck.-George Carlin
  • If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten.-George Carlin
  • If you can't convince them, confuse them.-Harry S. Truman
  • The wise man can pick up a grain of rice and envision the whole universe. But the stupid man will just lay down on some seaweed and roll around in it until he's competely draped in it. Then he'll stand up and go hey, Im vine man.

UGH!!

Wow, who knew being a teenager could be sooo incredibly confusing and frustrating. All the drama of school, boys, friends, and on top of that school, and getting passing grades. Man, it's wayyy too much to handle with one brain. I can't wait to grow up and get out of high school. I know what your thinking, "katie, these are the best years of your life, don't waste them wishing you were somewhere else." blah, blah, blah. You and me both know that being a teenager, especially a teenage girl is happy, sad, frustrating, confusing, and drama filled -aka- not fun. But anyways, enough of me complaining....I have a kitty that is adorable so life is all happy and sunshiney. yay! =p

Hmmm....

So, this is my first time using a blog...my mom was doing one, and I was like hey, I should try one. So, here I am . My name is Katie, I'm 15 years young....something that is very, very important to me are my kneecaps. I mean where would we be without them? If there were no kneecaps, we couldn't walk or run or dance, heck we couldn't even stand. You might regret meeting me, mostly because I ask ALOT of questions, it is entirely possible to get annoyed. I love my sister Maygen to death!!! We have soooo many inside jokes, and I always crack up when I hear them, no matter how old they are. Well that's pretty much me....I dunno, maybe I'll post more...
